I am a UX/UI designer originally from Venezuela, living in Clearwater, FL since November 2016. From an early age, I was interested in computers and the creative world. I didn’t quite know how those two things could go together but I definitely had an idea of the type of work I wanted to do.

I started the graphic design program in 2008 and graduated in 2011. I worked in the photography and architecture industries until 2016 when I moved to the US in search of better opportunities. Coming here was in many ways like starting from scratch and the first couple of years I dedicated most of my time to taking courses and learning as much as possible about web and UI design.

By March 2018, I started a new role at Marketopia in Clearwater, FL. They service the technology industry so I had the opportunity to do work for clients like Xerox, ConnectWise, SAP, Centurylink and countless MSPs. In the three years I was there, we grew from a local small agency to a large agency featured in the Inc. 5000 of fastest-growing companies. I worked on 22+ websites and dozens of landing pages and other digital products.

Fast-forward to today, I am currently working as an independent contractor and I’ve had the pleasure of having worked on a myriad of exciting projects such as an interactive earth science course for the University of Arizona, a complete revamp of a mobile security app’s UI and a Webflow microsite for a clinical-stage company. I also started my own YouTube Channel and I’m currently a mentor for CareerFoundry’s UI & Front-End Development courses.

Finding balance between life and work is extremely important to me. After long hours in front of a screen, I find pleasure in nature; deep in the forests of Florida or the mountains out-of-state. This perfectly combines with my passion for exploring, hiking and wildlife photography. Most recently, I have also become interested in mycology and flora and fauna identification.
